The G of Dick Raaymakers

Every year the letter 'G' is used for the identity of Dag in de Branding festival. For the design of this 'G' I was inspired by Intona, a project by Dick Raaymakers. In this project he uses the microphone as a part of the composition plan, not as an effect but to use it as a music instrument. His intention was to create new, ‘open’ music by the movement of microphones. The movement in the 'G' is inspired by the water but also by the rough, flowing sound.
