Folding My Body

INSTALLATION // PROCESSING // PROJECTION

Creating a dance by drawing dots

“Folding my body” is an installation to let the audience participate in the choreography of a dance performance. It gives shape to a body that folds upon itself. The installation is was settled in the welcoming centre of the Leiden International Short Film Experience. A grid represents the foldings of the body. By drawing dots in the grid, and by scanning them, each user can discover the moving body that they just composed. The resulting sequences of movement will be recorded and becomes part of the performance, “Twist in the body of the big spectator”, played on May 2 2015 at Leiden International Short Film Experience.
